Client Profile: Magnolia Massage LLC, Scituate, MA
Kirsten J. Banks is an independent massage therapist with a degree in holistic healing. Kirsten wanted to create a brand that captured her practice — individualized with an emphasis on beauty and wellness.
Claritas worked with Kirsten to create a logo, website and professional materials that conveyed her passion.
“Elizabeth has been a joy to work with. She helped me build a beautiful website by walking me through the process with her expertise and multiple connections to both artists and computer savvy professionals. She made sure the writing reflected my voice and the images reflected my vision. She responded almost immediately to every concern or question I had, no matter how small or ridiculous, with patience and understanding. She never quit until it was exactly how I had imagined it. I’m so proud of my new website and professional literature. She took what I gave her (a bunch of notes and some pictures), painstakingly edited, cropped and recropped, until it reflected who I am and what my work is about. And it is beautiful.”

Client Profile: South Shore Ballet Theatre (SSBT), Hanover, Massachusetts
As the South Shore’s only pre-professional ballet school, SSBT is a unique business with a varied consumer community — students, parents, production audiences, prospective students. Claritas worked with SSBT to create a budget and media plan that expanded the studio’s reach, its local visibility and enrollment and ticket sales.
“Claritas Editorial has been exceptionally helpful in finding flexible solutions to improve the visibility and reputation of my business,” says SSBT Artistic Director Marthavan McKeon. “Elizabeth took the time to understand my particular needs as a professional ballet school and to come up with customized solutions responsive to the needs of our students, parents and the community at large. She has helped to improve my business on both the top and bottom line and I would highly recommend her services to others.”
First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, challenging Americans to learn choreography to Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk. Claritas Editorial worked with SSBT Artistic Director Marthavan McKeon, P Kelly Rugg of Rowboat Productions, and some very talented young dancers to create an impressive (and hilarious) response video. The video has been viewed 4,000 times on YouTube and 8,000 times on Facebook. Seriously, click on it, it’s awesome.
Claritas Editorial worked with SSBT to develop a social media plan that would target their dancers, their parent community and their production audiences. SSBT’s Facebook interactions grew by 50%, with 100 new local members and the school now employs robust Pinterest and Instagram accounts. Claritas trained SSBT staff to take over the accounts and manage them independently.
Claritas Editorial worked with SSBT Artistic Director Marthavan McKeon to create art for posters, programs, brochures and promotional mailers as well as print and online advertisements and logo jackets for dancers and faculty.
Claritas Editorial prepared press packets for SSBT productions and news events. Packets included write-ups and fact sheets, subject bios, images and other supplementary materials. Claritas provided pre-interview consultations for interview subjects.
Claritas Editorial helped SSBT develop outreach events including a “Sugar Plum Tea” prior to their annual Nutcracker production and a “Mad Hatter’s Tea” for their spring show, Alice in Wonderland. The teas featured craft projects and students in character giving dance lessons to attendees. Claritas Editorial generated print and online promotion for these events, which each drew approximately 60 new visitors to the studio and increased production ticket sales.
Additional outreach events included benefit performances at Hingham Derby Street Shoppes; at Inly School, Scituate; and at Duxbury Middle School.
